Piggyback Songs
Piggyback songs are songs made with the tune of a popular song, but creating your own words to go along with it. These songs are perfect for students in elementary classrooms because when they are trying to remember something, they can simply sing the song. It also adds fun into the classroom; laughter is like brain glue, if the students have fun they will pay attention and remember what the song is. I want to teach Kindergarten or first grade and using piggyback songs into my lessons will be perfect for my classroom.

It’s time to look up on the board, on the board, on the board.
It’s time to look up on the board to see what happens next!
